Product Description
Beckhoff Automation is an industry pioneer that specializes in the design of industrial technology that improves automation at low cost. The ELM3002-0000 is an EtherCAT terminal that is developed on top of the EtherCAT technology, which was also developed by the company in 2003. The terminal is designed to carry out flexible voltage measurements in the control cabinet. It contains two channels and features a 2-wire connection technology. Each channel on the terminal can reach a maximum sampling rate of this product is about 20,000 samples per second. Apart from the voltage measurement, the ELM3002-0000 EtherCAT Terminal can also carry out functional diagnostics and detect broken wires or short circuits in cabinet connections. The typical uncertainty level for this product is less than < ±50 parts per million in some measuring ranges, while the temperature coefficient is less than 1 part per million per kelvin. This measurement device is particularly suited for the efficient implementation of complete system-integrated data acquisition systems that require high measurement accuracy and time synchronization.
The ELM3002-0000 EtherCAT terminal receives approximately 330 milliamperes of current from the E-bus; it also dissipates 3 watts of thermal energy. The Housing of this product is made from zinc die-cast material, it is a metal housing with diagnostic Light Emitting Diodes integrated in it. A double slot and key connection can be used if there is a need to install more than one terminal side by side.
The wiring for this terminal is done using a solid conductor, direct plug-in technique, fine-stranded conductors, and a ferrule. The recommended operation temperature for this product is between -25 to about 60 degrees Celsius. During storage, the ambient temperature should be kept between – 40 and about 85 degrees Celsius.
