Product Description
Beckhoff is an industrial leader in designing and manufacturing automation systems based on PC Control technology. The line of products includes Fieldbus components, I/O devices, embedded computers, and automation technology. Beckhoff products are robust, durable, well-built, and high-performance. The EtherCAT terminals manufactured by Beckhoff are grouped under their EL7 series.
The EL7342 is part of the EL7 series of EtherCAT terminals. It uses compact drive technology and has an inductive DC brush motor as its load type. This terminal has a single output and two different inputs. The output current from this terminal is a maximum of 3.5 A per channel with a supply voltage of 8V-48V DC. The performance for the EL7342 can be increased using an external ZB8610 fan cartridge. The fan cartridge cools the components under load faster and enables them to perform optimally for longer. Special features on the EL7342 includes an encoder and travel distance controller. The EL7342 has an electrical insulation of 500 V. The maximum input frequency is 400,000 increments/s (with 4-fold evaluation).
The EL7342 weighs 90 g and has an IP 20 protection class. The emissions for this terminal conform to EN 61000-6-4 and the EMC immunity conform to EN 61000-6-2. This EtherCAT terminal also has distributed clocks and several safety features. These features include protections against overload and short-circuit. Common thermal overload warnings apply to both the outputs. It also has status LEDs that enable quick local diagnosis of any issues on the unit. The maximum operating temperature for the EL7342 is 55°C, while the maximum storage temperature is 85°C. Additional shield busbars and clamps can be installed on this terminal. The EL7342 is CE, and UL approved. This product can be purchased from Wake Industrial with a one-year warranty period.
