Product Description
The BECKHOFF EL7047 is an EtherCAT capable, 5 A, 50 VDC Stepper Motor Terminal. This model is designed for the medium performance stepper motor. The EL7047 offers various output stages for a broad range of currents and voltages. This model has 2 x limit switches inputs as well. This stepper motor terminal can be configured to be used with different motors for different applications by manipulation of a few parameters. The 64-fold micro-stepping feature of this device ensures precise and quiet motor operation.
The BECKHOFF EL7047 has 4 x digital inputs for an encoder system and 1 x configurable digital output for the brake. This stepper motor terminal can supply a maximum output current of up to 5 amperes for transmitting a considerable torque through the shaft of a standard stepper motor. The capabilities of this device to work with up to 50 VDC supply voltages allows reasonably high speeds with better mechanical performance. A combination of the EL7047, an encoder, and a stepper motor can be used for the construction of an inexpensive servo control system. the LEDs provided on the front panel of this motor terminal indicate error and warning messages, devices status, etc. You can directly connect an incremental encoder and stepper model to this device. The BECKHOFF EL7047 supports three modes of operation which are; standard mode, sensorless mode, and extended mode. The extended mode can only be used for BECKHOFF stepper modes.
In standard mode, you are allowed to use any stepper motor regardless of the vendor ensuring that the specifications of the motor comply with the specifications of the stepper motor terminal. In sensor-less mode, the motor terminal can be used without a feedback system. The EL7047 can easily be configured through the TwinCAT System Manager. This product can be purchased from Wake Industrial with a one-year warranty period.
