Product Description
The EL7031-0030 is used for the connection of stepper motors, also known as step motors or stepping motors, without the interposition of adapters. Stepper motors are electric components that bring a brief stop within a revolution. The periodic stop is caused by permanent magnet poles. Step motors have a magnetic rotor that is surrounded by a stationary electromagnetic stator. The EL7031-0030 EtherCAT module can be manipulated by changing few specifications as per the motor’s requirement.
SPECIFICATIONS
Two analog inputs
The output and input D.C. supply of 24V, and an output current of 2.8A
The maximum step frequency can vary between 1000, 2000, 4000, and 8000.
Current Controller frequency is approximately 25 kHz
Around 5,000 positions per resolution.
Weight is roughly 105g
The input resistance is greater than 200 kΩ
The dimensions are (W * H * D) = 15mm, 100mm, and 70mm respectively.
IP20 protection glass.
Current consumption via a serial bus or energy bus is 120Ma
The power supply to the EL7031-0030 should be provided using an energy bus, encoder, or power contacts. The distance between two EtherCAT cables should be less than 100m; reduces signal attenuation over long-distance cables and provide a fast experience of data transfer. Cables and plugs that satisfy the (CAt5) requirements should be used for connection between two EtherCAT devices.
A safety feature, watchdog, is added to ELxxxx terminals of EtherCAT, EL7031-0030, that turns off the output after a certain period. Two types of watchdog are listed below:
Sync Manager (SM) watchdog: It is triggered if no data communication takes place in a specified period, i.e. line interruption, etc.
Process Data Interface (PDI) watchdog: The data communication with EtherCAT Slave Controller is monitored, corrected, and timely processed by this watchdog.
