Beckhoff EtherCAT terminal EL4124 is the latest addition to the EL EtherCAT Terminal Series that is specially developed for application in high performance industrial automation environment. This terminal has four outputs which makes it highly useful in meeting the automation needs of different types. It uses a 24 V DC power supply connected by power contacts which afford it reliable power energy input. The EL4124 is relatively light and small in size and dimensions, weighing around 65 grams; therefore, it doesn’t take much space to fit a broad variety of systems. Of major note is that the EL4124 has an output rate of up to 4 KSPS or kilo-samples per second. This capacity allows the terminal to process high speed data that is translated to high speed signal that will be useful in areas where a quick response is required. Combined with 16-bit resolution, the terminal provides accurate measurement and control signal, and enhances the accuracy of the entire system.

The EL4124 also uses high-performance distributed clock technology which ensures getting a synchronization accuracy of less than one microsecond. This feature is especially beneficial for the application, which demands synchronized timing like motion control processes and manufacturing automation. In addition, the terminal has a short circuit proof load that increases its durability and efficiency for industrial applications.

The EL4124 has the following performance features: The maximum current consumption of the device when used in E-bus mode is 110 mA in an average condition to ensure energy conservation while properly working. Therefore, the terminal can be used in a wide variety of industrial applications, such as process automation, robotics, and control systems, and corresponds to the requirements of modern automation tasks.
