The EL4102 belongs to the EL EtherCAT Terminal Series developed by Beckhoff which has been developed to offer robust and accurate output control for various industrial applications. This module comes with two outputs, ideal for use in applications that demand management of high-definition signals in the 0-10V range.

The EL4102 is easily powered by the E-bus which allows for ease of installation and minimum cable harnessing. Another remarkable feature of the module is the distributed clocks that have been used to improve the synchronization of clocks across network devices. These clocks are very accurate with clock granularity of less than one microsecond thus suitable for use in sensitive applications. The terminal is constructed with the capability to handle load currents of more than 5 kΩ and the terminal is protected against short circuits which make it more durable in all working conditions. These output signals are 16-bit signed quantities and the settling times are sufficient to guarantee less than 0.1 % error concerning the final value. The module has a throughput of up to 15 ksps allowing for the quick response times that dynamic applications require. Each output is coded by 16 bits in the process image and as a result, the total bit width for two outputs is 32 bits. Other features of the EL4102 include a programmable watchdog and the capability of the user to activate synchronization which may be set according to certain process conditions.

The entire size of this module is approximately 60 grams, and it is recommended to work in the temperature range of -25 to +60 degrees Celsius and can be stored at a temperature range of -40 to +85 degrees Celsius.
