Product Description
The EL3356-0010 by Beckhoff is an EtherCAT terminal designed for measuring strain gauge bridges or load cells. It facilitates the direct connection of a resistor bridge or load cell using either 4- or 6-wire technology. The 4-wire setup is simpler and suited for shorter distances, while the 6-wire configuration compensates for voltage drops across longer cables, ensuring more accurate and stable measurements. The terminal features a measuring range for differential voltage (UD) of up to ±27 mV, allowing it to capture small signals accurately. It supports a reference voltage (UREF) measuring range of up to ±13.8 V, enabling the terminal to accommodate a wide variety of sensor types and configurations.
The EL3356-0010 offers a 24-bit resolution, allowing for highly precise measurements of small signal changes from connected strain gauges or load cells. This high resolution ensures detailed and accurate data acquisition. It is equipped with an input filter that has a limit frequency of 10 kHz. This filter diminishes the intensity of unwanted high-frequency noise above 10 kHz while allowing desired low-frequency signals to pass through with minimal loss. The terminal supports 2 inputs for connecting a single resistor bridge in full bridge technology, allowing for precise measurement of differential signals.
This terminal offers a configurable conversion time ranging from 0.1 ms to 250 ms, allowing users to adjust it based on their application needs. It can process up to a maximum of 10,000 samples per second, ensuring rapid data acquisition. It features a compact terminal housing made of polycarbonate, that is suited for installation on a 35 mm DIN rail. For flexibility in installation, it also supports side-by-side mounting through a double slot and key connection.
