Product Description
Beckhoff’s range of EtherCat terminals includes the compact EL3041-0000 analog input terminal that processes standard 0 to 20 mA signals. It features one single-ended input, which allows it to process signals from a single device or sensor. This design is well-suited for applications where only one signal needs to be measured. The terminal supports a signal current range of 0 to 20 mA, which allows it to measure current signals from various industrial sensors and transmitters. By converting these analog current signals into digital data, the terminal facilitates precise real-time monitoring and control within the EtherCAT system. It features an internal resistance of 85 Ω, ensuring minimal loss of signal quality during current measurement.
The terminal boasts a 1 kHz input filter limit frequency, allowing for effective filtering of high-frequency noise. The terminal's dielectric strength of up to 30 V offers robust electrical isolation, protecting both the terminal and connected devices from potential surges in voltage. It offers a default conversion time of 0.625 ms, but users have the option to configure it to suit their particular application requirements. The terminal provides a 12-bit resolution, enabling precise analog-to-digital conversion with a high degree of accuracy. This ensures that even small fluctuations in the input current are captured, making it ideal for applications that require detailed and reliable current measurement.
The EL3041-0000 occupies a bit width of 4 bytes in the process image, allowing the terminal to communicate input data to the control system. This 4-byte bit width provides enough space for precise, high-resolution data exchange. The terminal offers standard and compact process image options to allow for flexible data handling based on varying application needs.
