The Beckhoff EL2622 is an EtherCAT Terminal from the EL series that has two relay channels for switching mechanical loads. It supports AC voltages up to 230 volts or DC voltages up to 30 volts. The maximum voltage input per channel is 5 Amps per channel. This unit is perfect for operations where a potential-free switch is required such as controlling motors, lamps and even other actuators in a factory setting. This gives EL2622 a big advantage since it utilizes EtherCAT for communication. This allows data to be exchanged efficiently without bottlenecks and is quick to integrate into an already existing automation system. This device also has a polycarbonate casing with signal yiBand Lead (LG) so you can monitor the status of the device in an instant. The terminal uses a push-in connector so that wiring is both simple and consistent, eliminating the need for much effort in installation and upkeep. It must be stated that the device is intended to be operated in controlled environments as it has IP20 encryption level.

In addition, this relay terminal meets EU vibration (EN 60068-2-6) and shock (EN 60068-2-27) resistance requirements which are essential for the reliability of such devices in harsh industrial environments. This also fulfills EN 61000-6-2 or EN 61000-6-4 for immunity and emission allowing it to work in an electrically noisy environment without any problems. It can operate in -25 degrees Celsius to +55 degrees Celsius temperature also allowing for a diverse range of zones to be utilized without any issues.

With potential-free outputs, EL2622 handles the loads that require switching devices isolation providing extra safety. The enclosure is compact (12 mm x 100 mm x 68 mm) making it easy to install in cramped control panels. The terminal also possesses CE and UL certifications, which in turn guarantees compliance with international requirements.
