The EK1101-0010 is an EtherCAT coupler with an RJ45 socket from Beckhoff Automation GmbH. The coupler helps in establishing a connection between the EtherCAT terminals and the EtherCAT device protocols. The product supports a coupler, a bus-end terminal and unlimited EtherCAT terminals on one of its stations. It helps in the conversion of passing telegrams from the Ethernet 100BASE-TX format to the E-bus signal format with minimum latency. This device allows the implementation of the HotConnect procedure.
