The EK9300-1007 Bus coupler is one of the many products from Beckhoff. It is designed to improve upon the EtherCAT communication system. There are two Ethernet interfaces on the coupler; the transmission of data through the ethernet interface occurs at a rate of about 100 megabits per second. There is also a USB interface behind the front flap of the device.

The housing of the EK9300-1007 coupler is made from polycarbonate; it is a compact terminal housing with signal Light light-emitting diodes for diagnostics purposes. The product is about 64 millimeters wide, 100 millimeters tall and about 72 millimeters thick.
