Product Description

The EK9300-1005 is a Bus Coupler produced by Beckhoff Automation for the coupling of standard digital and analogue EtherCAT Terminals and EtherCAT Box modules to PROFINET RT networks. The connection of the Coupler to the PROFINET RT is made through two RJ45 interfaces; the Coupler has at its disposal a lower-level, powerful and ultra-fast Input/output system with a large selection of terminals. It supports the PROFINET RT profile and fits seamlessly into PROFINET RT networks. There are two ports on this device; it also features two Ethernet-integrated switches through which data is transmitted at a rate of 100 megabits per second. There is also a USB interface behind the front flap on the Coupler. There are special diagnosis Light Emitting Diodes present integrated into the housing of the Coupler; the product also features alarms and can display diagnostic messages to help operators easily determine and fix any problems.

The power supply required by the EK9300-1005 is about 24 volts, however a deviation of up to 24 percent is allowed. The power supply provided through the input and output terminal on this product is about 10 amperes. The maximum size of process data that can be handled by this Coupler is 1440 bytes of input and output data. The EK9300-1005 Bus coupler is determined to conform to EN 60068-2-6/EN 60068-2-27 vibration and short resistance standards; it also belongs to the IP20 protection standards.
