Product Description
Beckhoff’s embedded computers have become a standard on the industrial floor due to their high computing power and compact size. Embedded PCs in the Beckhoff CX series are compact and light enough to be mounted on a DIN rail. Apart from saving space, the CX series is tailored to be pocket friendly without compromising on its performance. The Beckhoff CX family houses embedded computers with varying system interfaces, power supply needs, and processor versions enabling them to handle a wide range of industrial applications on the same hardware.
The Beckhoff CX8110 is an embedded PC with EtherCAT slave interface. It falls in the CX8100 embedded PC series. Embedded computers in this series are market leaders in the category of compact controllers. The CX8110 enhances monitoring and reduces the troubleshooting time by featuring status LEDs on its front panel. It’s easy-to-use DIP switch enables automatic or fixed addressing on the EtherCAT network. With UL and CE approvals, the embedded computer adheres to international standards allowing it to be used globally. The embedded PC employs an ARM Cortex processor with a speed of 800 MHz, a DDR3 RAM memory with a capacity of 512 MB and an expandable flash memory. Such a combination of processor speed, memory, and a data transfer speed of 100 Megabits per second enables the CX8110 to handle complex tasks in real-time.
With a relative condensing humidity rating of up to 95 percent, the CX8110 is primed for use in a wide range of industrial environments. The CX8110 supports E-bus or K-bus terminals used to interface extra Input and or Output devices. The embedded computer has a maximum power consumption rating of 4 W and E-bus/K-bus terminals draw a current of 2A.
