The CX5130-0122 is an embedded PC from Beckhoff Automation that can act as a control system. The device belongs to the CX5130 range of embedded PCs from the manufacturer. It features diagnostics LEDs for TC status, power status, bus status and flash access. The unit has a dedicated slot for inserting a microSD card and a CFast card. The cards must be inserted or removed only when the control system is in the off state. The power supply cables of the embedded PC must be connected only in the de-energized state to avoid damage to the device. The unit must be connected only to a 24V DC power source that is protected and insulated with maximum 4A fuse.
The embedded PC must be fully configured before switching it on. The system, fieldbus and extension modules must be connected correctly. The control system operates using Windows Embedded Standard 7 P 32-bit operating system and supports the TwinCAT 2 NC PTP runtime control software. The operating system and control software must be shut down before switching off the device. The device must be mounted in a terminal box or a cabinet on a mounting rail. It must be used only in working environments that adhere to IP20 protection rating. This includes protection against foreign objects as well as finger protection up to 12.5mm.
The control system must be installed in a housing with IP 54 protection class for non-conductive dust and gas. For protection against conductive dust, the housing must feature IP6X protection class. The device must be operated within a temperature range of -25 to +60 degrees Celsius, and stored in a temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. It supports 95% relative humidity without condensation. The control system is equipped with an Intel Atom® dual-core processor and 4GB DDR3 RAM that is not expandable.
