The CX5130-0121 embedded PC is a part of the CX5130 series of control systems from Beckhoff Automation. The control system is integrated with a dual-core Intel Atom processor that makes multi-core technology possible. The unit features two RJ45 interfaces that are capable of supporting 10/100/1000 Mbit/s data transfer rate. It has an internal battery-backed clock that displays the date and time. The device has a maximum power consumption of 20W with loading UPS. The embedded PC operates on a 32-bit Windows Embedded Compact 7 operating system and renders support for TwinCAT 2 PLC runtime control software.

The embedded PC supports a fan-less and compact design that ensures it takes up very little space. The control system has a current supply rating of 2A for its E-bus or K-bus connections. The EMC immunity or emission conforms to EN 61000-6-2 or EN 61000-6-4 standards. The unit has ventilation openings at the bottom and top of the housing for ensuring airflow in the vertical direction.
