The CX5120-0121 is an embedded PC system that uses the Intel Atom® E3815, 1.46 GHz processor and consumes a maximum power of 11 W (18 W with a UPS). The IPC has an elegant design and does not require a fan for heat dissipation. The system uses a 24 DC power supply and includes several interfaces including 2 x RJ45 10/100/1000 Mbit/s, 1 x DVI-I and 4 x USB 2.0 and 1 x optional interface.
The CX5120-0121 can use additional master/slave Fieldbus connections (PROFIBUS, CANopen, DeviceNet, etc.) and communication interfaces (RS232, RS422/RS485) as well as all other signal types supported by EtherCAT can be directly connected as EtherCAT Terminals. The system automatically recognizes the I/O type that is plugged-in. The dimensions of this PC are 124 mm x 100 mm x 92 mm (W x H x D). This model can operate in harsh environmental conditions because of its robust construction. The operating temperature range is -25 ᵒC to 60 ᵒC. For the main memory, 2 GB DDR3 RAM storage is provided. Flash memory is also supported with a slot for CFast card and microSD card.
