The CX5020-0125 produced by Beckhoff uses the Intel Atom® Z530 processor that gives it superior computing and processing capabilities. This Intel processor comes with the added advantage of low power consumption that allows the construction of very small IPC units. In addition, hyperthreading technology ensures that your system never experiences lag, giving 2 extra virtual cores to the system. The CX5020-0125 performs at optimal levels within a -25 ᵒC to 60 ᵒC temperature range. Such a wide allowable temperature range means that this industrial PC can be employed in very adverse ambient conditions. The system uses a 24 V DC supply and its power losses stand at a minimum of 12 W. The IPC has a robust construction and is constructed primarily using magnesium. Magnesium gives this embedded PC the added advantage of being lightweight.
The system uses TwinCAT 3 runtime (XAR) control software while its operating system is the Microsoft Windows Embedded Standard 2009**. For enhanced protection and equipment safety, the IP 20 protection standard is implemented on this PC that protects against the ingress of solid objects up to 12 mm.
