The CX2030 series of CPU modules are known for their robust design, low-maintenance, rugged construction, high performance, and durability. The CX2030-0135 is part of their CX2030 series. The CX2030-0135 has Intel® Core^TM i7 dual-core CPU running at 1.5 GHz. The CX2030-0135 has the Microsoft Windows Embedded 7 (64-bit) operating system and TwinCAT 3 runtime (XAR) control software. This CPU module is fanless and it is advised that it must be placed in a location with good ventilation. The CX2030-0135 has no rotational components and weighs at about 1165 grams. The CX2030-0135 comes with 2 GB DDR3 RAM but can be upgraded to 4 GB. It also uses a 20 GB or 40 GB CFast Flash memory. The CFast Flash memory acts as a hard disk and is non-volatile. Data to be saved in case of a power outage will be saved on CFast Flash memory. The CX2030-0135 also has five diagnostic LEDs with one LED for status, one for power and one for flash access, and two LEDs for bus status.

The recommended operating temperature of CX2030-0135 by Beckhoff is between -25˚C to 60˚C with a 95% relative humidity. The CX2030-0135 comes in an IP 20 enclosure which offers good protection to internal components. The CX2030-0135 is GOST-R, CE and UL certified. This CPU module also complies with limits of Class A digital device set by FCC USA and Canada. The CX2030-0135 must be mounted vertically for smooth operation.
