Beckhoff also offers basic PC modules. Their basic PC module such as the CX2030 series is characterized by its robustness, high-performance, reliability and low maintenance.

The CX2030-0130 is part of the CX2030 series by Beckhoff. The CX2030-0130 is a fan-less CPU module with no rotation component. It does not have TwinCAT control software and runs on the Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LSTB 64 Bit operating system. This CPU module has Intel® Core^TM i7 processor. The processor used in this module is 2 cores running on 1.5Ghz. CX2030-0130 uses 20GB or 40GB CFast flashcard for flash memory while the RAM is 2GB DDR3 (expandable to 4 GB). It also has 128KB NOVRAM integrated persistent memory in cases where no UPS is used. Optional interfaces can be purchased. It also has multi-pin terminals on either side of the module which can be used to connect other components.

The CX2030-0130 conforms to EN 60068-2-6 and EN 60068-2-27 vibration and shock resistance standards. The CX2030-0130 has a TC3 performance rating score of 60 with EMC immunity that conforms to EN 61000-6-2. The CX2030-0130 can be connected with up to four more basic CPU modules. When connecting these modules, the connection order is irrelevant. Internally, these modules are connected through a PCI express. The safe operating temperature is between -25˚C to 60˚C. This CPU module is protected in an IP 20 protection case therefore, it must not be exposed to any dust or water particles.
