The CX9010-N000 is a rugged embedded PC developed by Beckhoff for the CX series focusing on miniaturized control for industrial automation. The system uses a 533 MHz Intel IXP420 core which employs Xscale architecture enabling the device to exhibit a greater processing power for various control applications. Such construction consists of 128 MB of SDRAM and 32 MB of indelible internal firmware memory that does not allow upgrade which assists in caching adequate amount of data which can be accessed fast without external storage utilization. Additionally Embedded PC provides excellent network characteristics thanks to Internal switch with 2xRJ45 up to 10/100 Mbit/s interfaces. Diagnostic LEDs, which also indicating power, LAN, K-bus or EtherCAT (E-Bus), and flash memory access in order to guarantee high performance under demanding operational profiles. This is not however, all as even time and date functions are provided within the device – thanks to an internal clock with battery back up.

In an interactive control setting, the CX9010-N000 allows full customization as one can fitted any device bearing any I/O interface- K-Bus or E-Bus on it and automation device from Beckhoff can easily be fitted within the space. While resolving to this device, difficulties connected with operational systems are absent due to the version of Windows CE, designed especially for such devices. The CX9010-N000 is designed under power dissipating limit of 7 Watts in a cabinet miniature configuration of 59 x 100 x 91 mm weighing about 250 g, with a protection class of IP 20, equipped for effective computing in a temperature range of 0 to +55° C and temperatures as low as zero degrees. It comes with a one-year Beckhoff warranty.
