The CX5130-0122 is a Beckhoff’s model from their CX Embedded PC Series and is designed to provide timely and accurate computing performance for industrial control systems. It has the Intel Atom E3827 processor, with a clock speed of 1.75GHz, and two cores, and it is designed to deliver the right performance for various automation solutions.

This embedded PC does not have storage card slots but it has one PCIE slot for a CFast card and one SATA slot for a microSD card to support storage cards according to users’ preference. It has 4 GB of DDR3 RAM which is non-upgradable and for most industrial automation applications, it provides stability. Networking options are quite decent, which include two RJ45 ports that support 10/100/1000 Mbps, one DVI-I to output video, and four USB 2.0 interfaces. There is one optional interface that can be provided to enhance the system connectivity features even further. The cooling of the CX5130-0122 is passive, which increases the device’s reliability and decreases service needs by having no moving parts.
