Beckhoff offers the CX5010-1112 product which is an embedded PC from its Embedded PC CX5000 Series for control and automation in industrial settings. With an Intel Atom® Z510 processor, this robust and economical device runs on a 1.1 GHz clock frequency which makes it suitable for tasks that need low power consumption and dependable performance. Beckhoff is well-known for its superior PC-focused automation solutions and has engineered the model for easy integration with PLC, motion control and visualization systems. This integrated PC is ideal for areas where space and energy economy are paramount and provides adaptability in many automation applications.

The CX5010-1112 is equipped with 512 MB of RAM and has a slot for a Compact Flash card which comes with 128 MB pre-installed and allows for further expansion. An optional interface with this computing device provides further versatility. The cooling system operates passively which provides silent and efficient functionality without requiring supplementary ventilation. Equipped with diagnostic LEDs that indicate power, TC status and bus status, users may easily assess the system's health and condition. The embedded 1-second UPS (1 MB) on the Compact Flash card improves data security which ensures that critical information remains intact during short power outages.

The module functions on a 24 V DC power source with a tolerance of -15% to +20% that uses a maximum of 12 W. The existing  battery-powered clock ensures precise time and date settings which is essential for industrial operations. The device provides comprehensive compatibility for many industrial control applications including Windows Embedded CE 6, Windows Embedded Standard 2009 and Beckhoff’s TwinCAT 2 and TwinCAT 3 runtime control software.
