Product Description
The Beckhoff Embedded PC CX Series model CX2043-0100 is equipped with an AMD Ryzen™ V1807B processor which has a clock frequency of 3.35GHz, and four cores that enable it to perform intensive industrial applications. One disadvantage to this model is that there is a slot for a CFast card for flash memory storage, but the card is not given, allowing the user to select the amount of memory needed.
This model includes 8 GB of DDR4 memory, allowing it to respond quickly and efficiently to all tasks. This makes the RAM of the embedded PC easily expandable to 32 GB at the factory making it sufficient for more complex operations. Connectivity is complete with two RJ45 sockets for 10/100/1000 Mbit/s Ethernet, one DVI-D socket for digital video output, and four USB 3.0 sockets for high-speed data transfer to peripherals. Another interface that can be designed to meet certain particular needs may also be provided. The cooling system of the CX2043-0100 is enhanced by an integrated fan that has ball bearings and speed monitoring to provide high efficiency without causing the system to overheat. These diagnostic features include power status LEDs, TC status LEDs, flash access LEDs, and bus status LEDs to enhance systematic and maintenance services. It has an internal battery to back up the clock and calendar, which is useful and has the advantage of having a replaceable battery. The supported operating systems are Windows 10 IoT Enterprise 2019 LTSC, Windows 10 IoT Enterprise 2021 LTSC, and TwinCAT/BSD which provide versatility for software environments.
The control software choices are TwinCAT 2 runtime and TwinCAT 3 runtime (XAR). For I/O connections this device implements a power supply module that autonomously detects E-bus or K-bus. It is powered with 24V DC power, with the input voltage range from -15% to +20%. It has a high-power consumption of 70W, while the unit has a weight of about 1230 grams making it suitable for use in various industrial environments. A one-year warranty accompanies this product at Wake Industrial.
