The CX1020-0123 from Beckhoff is part of the CX Series Embedded PC for industrial use. Embedded in the CX1020-0123 system is the 1GHz Intel Celeron M ULV processor, which is suitable for control and real time operations. It is a single core processor which makes the microcomputer ideal for repetitive and dull automation applications.

This model has an inbuilt RAM of 256MB DRAM, which may be increased to 1GB, suitable for applications which are not ordinary. Storage space in the CX1020-0123 is provided by a Compact Flash card, 128MB of which is included, but additional memory is available for more storage. The CX1020-0123 incorporates two RJ45 connectors with Ethernet ports supporting 10/100Mbit/s and an internal switch for better network handling. The module is passive cooled, but factory active cooling options can be acquired for more thermally demanding situations.
