The CP7002-0000-0010 is an exclusive Beckhoff control panel, ideal for automating system machines and mechanical equipment. It serves well for industrial and plant engineering applications, providing a wide TFT display for visualizing and rendering images. It comes with an optional touch-pad/screen, a PC keyboard, and a mounting arm adapter. The main display of the CP7002-0000-0010 has a diagonal length of 15 inches with a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels. In other terminologies, a screen resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels is equivalent to or similar to XGA resolution. Compared to video-graphics array (VGA) resolution and SVGA, display screens with XGA resolution provide sharper images.

The CP7002-0000-0010 has a strong and durable casing, made mostly of aluminum. Its front side has a protection rating of IP 65, while its rear and underside only have a protection grade of IP 20. The CP7002-0000-0010 can support up to two CP-link connections or BNC connectors. The CP-link interfaces, found on the back of the control panel, facilitate data transmission between the unit and an industrial PC equipped with a CP-link interface card. The maximum cable length for the CP connection can reach as high as 100 meters. The first CP-link connector provides a pathway for the return signal, while the other CP-link interface provides a pathway for both the TXD signal and the power supply.

To connect the CP7002-0000-0010 to an industrial PC, at least two CP link cables must be used.
