The CP6904-0001-0000 is a fully-functional control panel engineered by Beckhoff under the CP Panel PC series. It offers various interfaces for establishing communication and connection with other devices or units. In particular, the CP6904-0001-0000 incorporates an extended DVI input (X 101), an extended USB input (X 102), a USB input/output (X 103, X 104, X 105), and a power supply (X 106). These interfaces are found on the rear side of the control panel and are usually hidden from the user during use to prevent accidental touch. The USB 2.0 allows the CP6904-0001-0000 to send and receive data at a maximum transfer rate of 480 Mbit/s. All communication can proceed seamlessly up to a transmission distance of 50 meters.

The CP6904-0001-0000’s extended DVI interface facilitates graphics transmission from an industrial PC to the control panel. With this interface, you can directly view and monitor the status of machines and processes in the control panel instead of through the PC. All in all, the DVI-E socket has 24 pins, which can support parallel data transmission and processing of transition minimized differential signaling (TMDS) data signals. TMDS is common for both HDMI and DVI interfaces because it allows seamless transmission of video and digital signals by minimizing the transitions between signal levels or states.

The CP6904-0001-0000 incorporates a single-touch resistive technology display, allowing the user to conveniently manage mechanical components of the system easily. For this control panel, the data transfer rate can be set up via its VideoBios. The VideoBios in the CP6904-0001-0000’s on-board graphics card contains the definition of the data transfer rate. For it to operate properly, the transfer rate must be equal to or less than 50 kHz. Bypassing this transfer rate might cause display and delay issues.
