Beckhoff’s C5 Control Cabinet Series provides a model known as C5102-0020, which is ideal for use in industrial Settings. This cabinet has the outer dimensions of 483 x 177 x 449mm thus suitable for installation in standard industrial environments, and has a basic configuration weight of 17.0 kg.

It was designed to work in severe conditions which means that it can work at atmospheric humidity of up to 95% if it is a non-condensing humidity. An important parameter of this design is the shock resistance of the cabinet which can withstand sinusoidal shocks from 10 to 58 Hz with an amplitude of 0.035 mm and from 58 to 500 Hz with an amplitude of 0.5 g (about 5 m/s²). It also can handle impact shocks efficiently, having a rating of 5G (approximately 50 m/s²) for 30ms. For protection, the cabinet is given an IP60 rating when in use meaning that it is protected from any dust particles and other small particles while moving to IP20 when not in use but not against water. The C5102-0020 has a supply voltage of 100-240V, a frequency of 50-60 Hz, and a power consumption of 70W in its non-typical configuration. It strictly meets the electromagnetic interference and emitted wattage resistance specified in EN 61000-6-2 and EN 61000-6-4 respectively. This is to minimize interference from electromagnetic radiation in hostile environments.

The storage temperatures of the cabinet are between -20°C and +65°C to suit many climatic conditions. It meets the FCC class A limits for the radiated emissions. The various USB interfaces are supported up to the C5102-0050 model, and the cabinet also has DVI-I and DVI-D connectors for the digital visual interface.
