The Beckhoff BK1120-0000 is a high-performance EtherCAT Bus Coupler, part of the BK EtherCAT Bus Coupler Series, designed for efficient and reliable communication in industrial automation systems. It supports up to 64 bus terminals, which can be extended to 255 terminals with the K-bus extension, making it flexible and scalable for a variety of applications. This device allows for large data transfers, with a maximum of 1024 bytes each for input and output on the fieldbus, making it suitable for systems with high data throughput requirements.
The BK1120-0000 features two RJ45 bus connections and supports data transfer rates of 100 Mbit/s, utilizing Ethernet/EtherCAT Cat.5 cables as the data transfer medium. Configuration of the device can be performed via KS2000 or through EtherCAT (ADS), offering flexible setup options for different control systems.
In terms of power, the device operates with a 24 V DC power supply and has an input current of 70 mA plus the K-bus current, with a maximum input current of 500 mA.
