The BC9191-0000 is a universal Ethernet based bus coupler suitable for use in industrial applications and building systems. Data handling is high with a capacity of 64 fieldbus bytes and about 512 input and output bytes. This makes it useful especially in systems that require considerable data traffic. The device has 2 RJ45 Ethernet ports (switched) which enhances network connection and allows daisy chaining of the devices. The BC9191-0000 device is also fitted with TwinCAT ADS and supports Modbus TCP making it possible to operate in an extended range of automation devices.

Their BC9191–0000 characteristics regarding the inputs and outputs are: 3 digital inputs and 3 voltage inputs in 0 – 10 V range what allows a majority of sensors application. Dedicated Pt/Ni1000 inputs are also available to measure temperature in the range of minus twenty to plus sixty degrees Celsius with a maximum resistance of ten k Ω. Concerning the outputs, digital outputs have a maximum load of ten amperes and the outputs can be in form of LED indicator, relay or triac depending on the uses. Further, there are 2 analog outputs with 0/10V settings enabling control of analog devices.

The twisted pair of a sub-bus system communicates via the RS485 interface, thus making the system more versatile in terms of communication and the additions that can be made to the network. Operating with a 230V AC power supply, the device delivers 200 mA current to the K-bus used for terminal control. Network communication and configuration are made easier with the use of a bus interface provided with dual switched RJ45 ports. Coupler dimension: 118 mm (127mm including end cover and DIN rail) x 100 mm x 70 mm which ensures it is integration ready regardless of how constrained a particular space is.
