The AX8206-0200-0000 belongs to the single axis module category of Beckhoff’s AX8000 series which is meant for performance and safety industrial applications. This axis module provides a combination of DC link and inverter with the rated output current being 6A and a peak output current of 20A with 848V DC maximum DC link voltage. The rated operating of this device is very good and supplies 100 to 480V AC which help in accommodating various configurations of power supply.
The AX-Bridge system provides a way to connect modules without the use of any tools, automatically connecting the DC link together with the 24V DC control voltage, and the EtherCAT communication lines. This makes the assembly easier whereby it is possible to use the available energy quickly between the axes during acceleration and deceleration movements, reducing wastage of regenerative energy. The AX881x capacitor module absorbs most of the excess regenerative energy that is not needed.
The AX8206-0200-0000 contains TwinSAFE Logic which accommodates many safety functions with Safe Torque Off (STO), Safe Operating Stop (SOS), Safe Stop 1 (SS1) and 2 (SS2) included. The module offers a multi-feedback interface, which can be used with the OCT, EnDat 3, BiSS C encoders which ensures accurate motor control. The integration of EtherCAT as the system bus with the CiA402 drive profile further guarantees that the AX8206 effectively communicates and can be integrated in multifaceted automation systems. Intended for use with an operational temperature between 0 to +40 °C, high as +55 °C with power down, AX8206-0200-0000 model is also CE, cULus and EAC certified for the international market requirements for industrial products.
