The AX5X01 is a high-performance component of the AX digital servo drive family that is explicitly developed for challenging industrial applications. The servo drive utilized in this treadmill is a Beckhoff servo drive, which has been intended to provide the end user with a high level of accuracy and reliability in whatever situation in which it is operated.

To manage a large current of 40A, the module comes with the AX-Bridge connection system that simplifies the connection of multiple drives thus enhancing their easy and reliable integration. The drive has the plug-in power supply and connection modules, the use of which makes it easier to install and maintain the drive. This design not only makes the system more user-friendly but also minimizes the time losses during the setup or system upgrade. The AX5X01 has an active DC link and brake energy management system which makes it stand out from the rest of the models. This enhanced functionality enhances energy management and distribution of brake energy in a manner that lowers the total power consumption. The control voltage is applied to 24 V DC with integrated braking voltage for stable and safe operation. The drive also has an automatic DC link connection for energy balancing and management of power distribution within the system.

It can easily support high-load applications since it has a current carrying capacity of 85 A. The system is simple to install because it has a Snap-On design, and the system is protected from short circuits for better performance. To ensure that most of the system is achieved and to prevent power loss that may lead to system failure, the module uses system braking resistors in its design. The mounting has been made to be modular and therefore very flexible and easy to modify as required, especially in multi-axis systems where flexibility and modularity are crucial.
