The AX5805-0000 is a TwinSAFE expansion card developed for Beckhoff AX5000 Servo Drive systems, which has current ratings of 1.5 – 40 A. The card directly embeds the most important safety functions into the servo drive enabling it to perform some safety-critical drive actions. It incorporates a TwinSAFE Logic compliant device which enhances motion safety using Fail-safe over EtherCAT (FSoE) thus suitable for safety-oriented industries.

The main competitive advantage of the AX5805 lies in the fact that this drive includes a plethora of safety functions integrated into the drive itself. Among the safety functions are Safe Torque Off (SOT), Safe Operating Stop (SOS), safe stop 1 (SS1) and safe stop 2 (SS2) which are safe controlled stop functions. Besides, equipment provides the speed limit functions with Safely Limited Speed (SLS), Safe Speed Monitoring (SSM), Safe Maximum Speed (SMS) and monitors up to 8 speeds with fast configurable criteria.

The also requires the functionality of the position and acceleration safety functions. It covers Safely Limited Position (SLP), Safe CAM (SCA), and Safely Limited Increment (SLI), thereby promoting motor positioning using reference cams.
