Beckhoff’s AX5206-0000 servo drives from AX5000 series is a computer-based automation with the best combination of performance, versatility and price. This enclosure contains a number of crucial items such as a power supply, an EMC filter and the link capacitors thus enabling quick fitting and cutting down on extra equipment.
As a slave over EtherCAT, the control axis can be connected to PC control systems for effective communication of information. It has two channels with each having an output current of 6 A and a peak output of 13 A, which is adequate for applications requiring fast and accurate movement and positioning. The multifaceted feedback interface of the AX5206 enables the control of not only synchronous and asynchronous motors and linear and torque motors but also voice coil motors that are compatible with SinCos, resolver, EnDat 2.1, Hiperface, BiSS B, OCT and other standards. It also provides freedom in the type of the motors allowing many types of motors to be connected to each channel provided the total spare current is properly controlled.
The AX-Bridge quick connection technology facilitates multi-axis systems installation by interconnecting multiple devices of AX5206-0000 in the simplest way possible. The safety aspect has also been taken care of by the optional AX58xx module offering protection like the international standard EN ISO 13849-1:2015 (Category 4, Protection level e) and SIL 3. The impressively engineered AX5206 operates with a voltage supply of between 100 - 480 V AC and has been configured to work in temperature ranging from 0 to +50 degrees Celsius which is pretty much good for tough industrial demands.
