Product Description
The AX2020-B110-0000 digital servo drive from Beckhoff's AX series provides robust and precise motion control for industrial machinery. As a compact device utilizing convection cooling, it operates reliably within an extensive temperature range from 0 to 50 degrees Celsius, permitting use in a variety of applications. A nominal output of 20 amps delivers the torque necessary to handle sized payloads. Powered by a standard three-phase AC supply between 100 and 480 volts, integration is simple for most mechanical and factory systems.
Communication with the drive is managed through an EtherCAT interface for rapid distributed control with high synchrony. Programming and setup utilize Beckhoff's proprietary TwinCAT automation software for flexible configuration. Feedback, digital I/O, and other signals integrate seamlessly. The interface also transports safety-relevant information securely to comply with elevated functional requirements. Built-in protections include an integrated brake chopper and 150 percent overload capacity for short periods.
Designed with worker security as a priority, integrated safety features permit operational functions that prevent hazardous states. Various input monitoring prevents unintended startups or movements outside normal operating modes. These safeguards provide reassurance for any personnel sharing the mechanical workspace. Digital and analog inputs and outputs further expand connectivity options to a full suite of industrial devices and sensors without additional modules. Convection cooling keeps internal temperatures in check without complex liquid cooling loops or fans prone to clogging. Minimal wear parts contribute to an extended usable lifetime even after years of continuous running in forceful production contexts. Front panel controls enable rapid direct commissioning as needed without a teach pendant or computer. Global and local access protocols cater to diverse operational structures.
