Product Description

The AS1020-0120 stepper motor is a small, efficient, and dependable motor for positioning applications within the voltage ranges of 24 48 V DC with a holding torque of 0.50 Nm and rated current of 1.0 A. Stepper motor has step angle of 1.8 degrees (full 200 steps per revolution) and has M12 cable bundle attachment. Such a motor can be used in systems that require precise holding of position and can be employed together with micro-stepping mode. Working temperature range is 0/ +40 degrees Celsius. Motor is CE marked. Key dimensional characters include: A:22 mm B:5 mm D:24 mm K:48 mm L:31 mm M:33 mm O:24 mm R:42 mm NEMA17 flange size.

This motor can be used to control position without feedback or encoder. However, if it is desired to track electrical step accurate in motor and not lose step when load is too high, incremental encoder may be fitted to the motor on order. This requires the motor ordered with a second shaft end to facilitate this. The motor will operate with typical stepper motor output stages such as the KL2541, EL7041, EL7037, EP7041-3002 using an incremental encoder.

In terms of mechanics, the motor achieves a maximum of six thousand revolutions per minute and has a rotor bit of inertia of about 0.1 x 10-6 kgm² and a starting torque rating of less than 0.01 Nm. The motor is of a mass of approximately 0.06 kg and has an IP50 protection for the flange and IP64 for the housing making it versatile for use in different industries.
