The AM8121-0F20-0000 is a three-phase synchronous motor of an AM8100 series, permanent magnet excited, belonging to the group of high precision motors, which finds primary applications in industries wherever precise control of torque and speed is required. With nominal voltage range of 24 to 48 V DC, the operating mode is quite stable in that it has both a stand and rated torque of 0.50 Nm and a peak torque of 2 Nm. Hence, the rated speed of this motor is 3000 min⁻¹ and the rated power is 0.16 kW, which means prolonged operation modes with holding power and accuracy are possible. The torque constant is 0.13 Nm/A, which implies the smoothness of torque delivery while the rotor moment of inertia is 0.134 kgcm², therefore this allows for rapid acceleration and deceleration in a dynamic set up.
Also, the motor includes a resolver combined with the single-turn absolute encoder, which allows the AM8121-0F20-0000 to implement precise and accurate position control extending the performance of the whole system. The motor is installed and operated in an exterior ambient temperature position of about five to forty degrees centigrade with considerable convection cooling. The motor connects using an itc® plug that guarantees the connection.
For transport purposes, the motor is classified within the 2K3 climatic category in accordance with EN 60721 standards. The transportation temperature allowed is -25°C to +70°C and the fluctuation allowed is 20 K/hour. Conditions, specifically humidity in transport environment should lie between 5% to 95% relative humidity, non-condensing. Proper packaging of the motor by qualified personnel using original packaging of the manufacturer should be done to avoid any damages especially hard impacts on the shaft end.
