AM8013-0DG0-0000 is a convection cooled servo motor. It is part of the AM8000 series from Beckhoff. Salient motor features include a smooth shaft, IP54 rated aluminum housing, 40 millimeter flange for mounting and 2-pole resolver for speed and position feedback. It works with nominal AC input at 100 to 230 Volts. The standstill motor torque is 0.52 Nm and the standstill motor current is 1.65 Amps. Rated output torque of the AM8013-0DG0-0000 motor is 0.45 Nm and the peak output torque is 2.04 Nm. Speed rating of the AC servo motor is 8000 RPM. Power output that the motor can deliver under optimal operating conditions is 0.38 kilowatts. These optimal conditions include 5 to 40 degrees ambient temperature. The servo motor relies on convection cooling for heat dissipation.

AM8000 series motor work together with a suitable motor controller. The motor is equipped with an itec plug for the motor controller connection. Aluminum is used for housing construction. The housing is covered with a dark gray power coating which is similar to RA7016. Mounting configurations supported by the AM8013-0DG0-0000 motor include IM V3, IM B5 and IM V1. The brushless design ensures there is no electrical contact between the stator and the rotor, which enables a long service life. A thermal contact provides temperature monitoring for overheat protection.
