Product Description
AM3042-0G01-000 is a Beckhoff servo motor. It must be used in combination with a servo drive from Beckhoff Automation. The servo drive provides the AC for the motor. Beckhoff has designed the motor for AC input from 230 to 480 Volts AC. This gives operators flexibility in the choice of using AC supply to suit their requirements. Motor performance varies with input voltage, and the relevant details are listed in the product documentation. Another function of the servo drive is to use real-time motor feedback to minimize the difference between the setpoint for speed and position and their actual values. AM3000 motors can be ordered with a range of feedback devices, including resolvers, multi turn encoders and single turn encoder. The AM3042-0G01-000 motor comes with a 2-pole resolver.
This resolver is an electromechanical device that provides precise feedback about the position and speed of the motor's rotor. Standstill torque for the AM3042-0G01-000 motor is 3.53 Nm. Value for standstill torque is 4.8 Amps. When 230 Volts AC input is used, the motor shaft rotates at 3500 RPM, the motor torque is 2.9 Nm and the power delivered is 1.06 kilowatts. When 400 Volts AC input is used, the motor shaft rotates at 6000 RPM, the motor torque is 2.35 Nm and the power delivered is 1.48 kilowatts. When 480 Volts AC input is used, the motor shaft rotates at 6000 RPM, the motor torque is 2.35 Nm and the power delivered is 1.48 kilowatts. The main shaft on the motor has a plain design. The holding brake is rated for 6 Nm holding torque and requires a 24 Volts DC release signal to disengage from the shaft.
