X20ZF0000 is a placeholder or dummy module. It is installed inside slots where later on other modules will be installed. It has no electrical function other than acting as a dummy module. This module is designed for X20 systems from B & H Automation. It is a non-functional module. It can be mounted in the horizontal orientation. It can also be mounted in the vertical orientation. The module is IP20 rated. IP is an acronym for Ingress Protection. The first digit represents protection against solid objects. A rating of 2 means the enclosure protects against solid objects larger than 12.5 mm in diameter, such as fingers or tools. However, it does not provide protection against smaller objects like dust. The second digit represents protection against liquids. A rating of 0 means there is no protection against the ingress of water.

Typically, IP20 rated objects can be used indoor. For outdoor use, IP20 rated objects must be mounted inside an enclosure. However, since the X20ZF0000 is a dummy module, there is not restriction to outdoor use. The temperature range for module storage is -25 to 85 degrees Celsius. The temperature range for module transport is -25 to 85 degrees Celsius. The temperature range for vertical installation is -25 to 50 degrees Celsius. The temperature range for horizontal installation is -25 to 60 degrees Celsius. The recommended relative humidity range is 5 to 95% for operation, storage and transport. The module is certified by CE. It is also certified by ATEX for Zone 2. In addition, the dummy module is certified by UL, DNV GL and HazLoc. All X20 series modules must be handled by trained personnel.
