Product Description
X20TB5F is a terminal block. It is designed by B & R Automation for use with SafeI/O modules that have 16 connections. This terminal block is use to use: staff don't need tools to make wiring connections. With push-in technology support, the connection can be made easily and conveniently. To release connections, a screwdriver can be used and sophisticated tools are not required. B&R recommends using screwdrivers with part number X20AC0SD1 to prevent terminal damage. Each terminal on the X20TB5F can be labeled separately. Customized coding is also possible. The module has 16 safety-keyed pins. The typical force required to push in a wire is 10 N. Only copper wires should be used with the terminal block. B & R specifically warns against using aluminum wires. The recommended wire stripping length is 7 to 9 millimeters.
Specifically, the stripping length should not be less than 7 or more than 9 millimeters. Proper wire stripping is essential for achieving secure connections. When solid wires are used, the recommended wire size is 28 to 16 AWG. When fine-stranded wires are used, the recommended wire size is 24 to 16 AWG. For wire end sleeves the recommended size is 24 to 20 AWG. The X20TB5F module supports nominal 24 Volts DC voltage and 50 Volts DC maximum voltage. The nominal current per contact is 2 Amps. The resistance of each contact is less than 5 megaohms. For optimal cable holding force, B & R recommends the following: square crimping with roughest surface possible, no cutting of th wire end sleeve, proper insertion of the wire end sleeve, and stripping of wire sleeve as per B & R recommendations. Each contact on the module has a opening for an external test probe.
