The X20RT8001 offers high-speed digital input and output control in various automation processes. It is a reliable reACTION technology module designed by B&R Automation with four high-speed digital inputs and four configurable channels. Users can customize the module to suit their application needs by using the configurable channels as inputs or outputs. Its high speed capability delivers fast response time ensuring efficient system performance. The module comes with a single ABR incremental encoder input designed for 24 V systems. This input allows users to connect a rotary encoder, facilitating precise feedback in motion control applications.
This unit is built to support blackout mode, which allows the module to continue functioning in the event of a power failure. The module can store important data and maintain control of connected devices in blackout mode, ensuring minimal disruption when power is lost. The module relies on ultrafast reACTION technology to control its integrated I/O channels ensuring a 1 μs response time. This technology allows users to achieve precise control with commands executed almost instantaneously. Real-time feedback on the I/O function, operating state and overall module status are provided through status indicators on the module. Users can quickly catch and rectify any issues, minimizing downtimes for enhanced efficiency.
For application storage, the module is equipped with 64 Mb of flash memory. This enables the module to manage multiple processes efficiently. It delivers a 24 VDC encoder power supply with an output voltage range of -15% to +20%. This power supply can deliver a maximum output current of 600 mA, ensuring sufficient power for connected encoders. The module has built-in protections against short-circuits and overloads for system safety. It also features an insulation voltage of 500 Veff between the channels and the bus, ensuring robust electrical isolation.
