Product Description

X20PS9500 is a X20 series power supply module. It is a product of B & R Automation, a global company that specializes in industrial automation solutions. The supply module can supply 24 Volts DC power for a Fieldbus or Compact CPU, internal I/O and X2X link network. It supports electrical isolation of the supply and CPU as well as X2X link supply. Multiple X20PS9500 modules can be used together to provided redundancy for CPU and X2X link network supplies. It features one RS-232 online interface and one CAN bus interface. LED status indicators are available for CAN bus, RS-232, module status, overload and operating state. Software can also be used in addition to the LED indicators for module diagnostics. The X2X link power supply draws 1.42 Watts power. The internal I/O draws 0.6 Watts power.

The module is certified by CE, UKCA, ATEX for Zone 2, UL for Industrial Control equipment, CCS, KR, LR and several other certifying bodies. For the CPU/X2X link input, the specifications are 24 Volts DC and maximum 0.7 Amps current. An integrated fuse is installed but cannot be replaced in the field. This input supports reverse polarity protection. For the CPU/X2X link output the specifications are 7 Watts nominal power output, parallel connection support, redundant operation support, and short-circuit protection. Specifications for input I/O power supply are 24 Volts DC without reverse polarity protection. As per the manufacturer, a slow-blow fuse with 10 Amps maximum current rating is required. Both the RS-232 and CAN bus interfaces support connection via a X20TB12 terminal block. Maximum transfer rates supported by CAN bus and RS-232 and 1 Mbps and 115.2 kbps respectively.
