Product Description
X20PS2100 is a power supply module. It is used to supply 24 Volts DC to the internal I/O. Electronics on the power supply are coated with a protective coating that provides protection from corrosive gases and condensation. The coating is certified for condensation as per the BMW GS 95011-4 standard and for corrosive gas as per the DN 60068-2-60 standard. There are two LED indicators on the module: one for operating status and one for module status. Diagnostics are available via the LEDs and via software. The bus power consumption is 0.2 Watts and the internal I/O power consumption is 0.6 Watts. The power supply module requires a slow-blow line fuse rated for maximum 10 Amps. The I/O supply is not isolated from the I/O power supply.
The X20PS2100 module can be mounted both horizontally and vertically. Degree of protection provided by the supply enclosure is IP20. When mounted horizontally, the operating temperature is -25 to 60 degrees Celsius. When mounted vertically, the operating temperature is -25 to 50 degrees Celsius. The recommended temperature for module storage and transport is -40 to 85 degrees Celsius. The manufacturer recommends 5 to 95% non-condensing relative humidity during operation. One X20TB12 terminal block has to be ordered separately. When used for safety-related applications, the potential group must be shut down for achieving a category four shutdown. The X20PS2100 module requires one slot on the CAN I/O bus. The module is a product of B & R Automation and is compatible with X20 PLC systems. Nominal voltage on the bus is 5 Volts and must not fall below 4.7 Volts. Only trained personnel should install the power module.
