X20PD0016 is a potential distributor module. It works with X20 PLCs from B & R Automation. The module provides five ground connections and five 24 Volts DC connections at the terminals. An external supply is required. As there is no connection to internal I/O, the module only distributes an external supply for the electronics and load supply. The external supply is routed to the terminal connections via a field-replaceable microfuse. The PLC CPU can monitor the fuse and the external 24 Volts DC supply. Two LED indicators provide information about the module's operating state and its status. Power consumption of the bus on the X20PD0016 module is 0.12 Watts. Power consumption of the external I/O is 1.15 Watts. The module is certified by CE, KC, UL, ATEX and EAC.

The integrated fuse is a slow-blow fuse with 6.3 Amps current rating. It can be replaced in the field. To replace a defective fuse, the first required step is to remove the fuse cover with a screwdriver, slide out the defective fuse and push in the new fuse. Nominal output voltage of the X20PD0016 module is 24 Volts DC. The permissible contact load is 10 Amps. Both horizontal and vertical mounting positions are allowed. One terminal block with part number X20TB12 and one bus module with part number X20BM11 must be ordered separately. In addition to monitoring of the LED indicators, the module can be monitoring via software. The working temperature, when mounted horizontally, is -25 to 60 degrees Celsius and -25 to 50 degrees Celsius when mounted vertically. Up to 2000 meters, the module can be used without any required reduction in the ambient temperature.
