Product Description

X20MM4331 is a four-channel motor module. It works with X20 PLCs from B & R Automation. In addition to motors, can the module can be used to drive valves and resistive loads. Each of the four outputs on the module is a half-bridge output. The continuous output current rating for each output channel is 3 Amps. The maximum output current rating for the output channel is 5 Amps. Output channels on the X20MM4331 module can be short-circuited or switched on/off. Three LEDs are provided to assist with monitoring and control. These LEDs provide status indications for the module, the operating state and the I/O function for each channel. Nominal voltage for the power unit on the module is 24 Volts DC. The switching voltage is 24 Volts DC.

Resolution for current value measurement is 100 milliamps. The outputs support thermal shutdown protection for overcurrent and short-circuit events. With IP20 protection rating, the unit is suitable for indoor use. It can be used outdoors when mounted inside a suitable cabinet or enclosure. The permitted temperature range for rated operation is 0 to 50 degrees Celsius. Vertical mounting of the X20MM4331 unit is not permitted. During operating the relative humidity should be between 5 and 95%. The manufacturer recommends lines with 0.75 to 2.5 mm2 cross-sectional area for the output channels. The terminal block should not be connected or disconnected during operation. Power supply line for the module should be protected with a suitable fuse or circuit breaker. The PLC monitors the power supply line, and shuts off the output channel if the power supply voltage drops below 18 Volts. Only qualified personnel should handle the module.
