Product Description
The X20DS1319 is one of the series of products of B & R Automation which is a part of X20 Series and is a module that can provide digital input & output flexibility. This module has four digital input channels and four programmable digital channels where either input or output can be used based on the user preference. The X20DS1319 has a built-in universal counter pair as one of the features. This feature can count two events, AB or up/down event or combination of these modes depending on the settings. The module is also fitted with a linear movement generator that can handle up to 2 reference pulses in positions such as A/B or direction/frequency.
Further, the X20DS1319 has the timestamp function as a part of the nettime functions and is very useful to measure the time with finer resolution and synchronize the input signals. Also, the module has interfacing for SSI absolute encoders that are useful in applications that need long distance feedback or in harsh conditions. The X20DS1319 operates at a nominal voltage of 24 VDC with a voltage range of 24 VDC ~15% to allow compatibility with standard industrial power supplies. The digital inputs have a nominal current of approximately 1mA. Average current of 3 mA at 24 VDC, and the module can handle an input frequency of up to 100 kHz, something that makes the module to be effective in handling high-speed signals. The switching threshold is set at Low <5 VDC and High > 15 VDC to enable effective detection of the signal and subsequent processing.
On output, the X20DS1319 comprises an output which can be configured as a push, pull or push-pull design enabling it to adapt to various output specifications. The nominal output currents for each of the channels are 0.1 A, sufficient for handling different loads and signals in industrial applications. The module's power consumption is also optimized with a bus power consumption of just 0.01 W and internal I/O power consumption of 1.5 W. Status indicators for each I/O channel, along with indicators for the operating state and module status, provide clear visual feedback
