Product Description
The B & R Automation X20DO4529 is a part of the X20 Series which is an I/O module that is ideal for heavy duty as well as varied applications in the industrial sector. The input voltage ranges from 30 VDC or 115 VAC, and this module is suitable to work with both DC and AC voltages and the maximum voltage that it can switch is 110 VDC or 125 VAC.
The X20DO4529 module comprises four digital outputs where each output can sink a maximum current of 1A at 30VDC, and 0.5 A at 115 VAC. The total nominal current capability of the module is 4A in 30VDC and the maximum current that can be supplied is 2A at 115VAC. This feature enables the module to manage many devices at once; therefore, it is ideal for applications that demand a high level of current control. The inrush current in the module is limited to the maximum of 2A per channel.
To ensure the highest security and dependability the X20DO4529 has several isolation features. It is also designed to meet an isolation voltage of 1500 VAC between the channel and the bus and 1000 VAC between channels. The output channels of the module are developed with a contact resistance of 75 milliohms at a voltage of 6 VDC, with one ampere current, to minimize the energy losses during the current transfer. The switching delay of the activation and deactivation is from 0 to 1 and from 1 to 0 respectively is less than or equal to 4ms.
There are also diagnostic capabilities of the X20DO4529 which has status indicators for each channel to indicate the I/O function, the state of the operation and the overall module status. These indicators are complemented with the module's diagnostic functions for run/error status through the status LEDs and software, thus making it easy to monitor and debug. The X20DO4529 module is designed to have an IP20 degree of protection according to the EN 60529 standards, which means that it is suitable to be used in environments where there is a need to protect the product against solids intruding into the enclosure. The power consumption of the module on the bus is 0.8 W.
