Product Description
The X20DO4321 is a digital output module manufactured by B & R Automation which belongs to the X20 family and is used in industrial automation systems to provide a control of digital outputs. This module has four digital outputs and the nominal voltage of this module is 24V DC. Some of the characteristics of the X20DO4321 include; the device has a nominal output current of 0. 5 A per channel with the total nominal current of 2 A for the module. This makes it possible for the X20DO4321 to manage the outputs well in the best way possible. This module is connected with 3-wire connections and that help in reducing the wiring complexity and ease of installation. This connection type is widely employed in different industrial applications.
This device is protected by the thermal cutoff protection to prevent over current or short circuit in the X20DO4321 module. This protection protects the module as well as other connected devices from being damaged. The X20DO4321 is designed to operate in harsh environments with its operating temperature range of -25 to 60 degrees Celsius for the horizontal layout and -25 to 50 degrees Celsius for the vertical layout. It also works with a broad temperature of transport from -40 degree Celsius to 85 degree Celsius. To further improve the safety and reliability of the module, the isolation voltage between channels and the bus is 500 V thus ensuring that there is no interference to the signal path.
The diagnostics of the X20DO4321 are enhanced by output checking that has a 10 ms delay thus enabling the identification of any fault or error. The module also has status indicators in the form of LED and software to enable the user to easily identify run/log and error conditions. This model has power consumption of 0.16 W for the bus and 0.49 W for internal I/O. It has the IP20 degree of protection according to the EN 60529, which means that it is protected against contact with solid objects however not against liquids.
