Product Description:

The X20DO2623 is a digital output module developed by B & R Automation's X20 Series which is used for controlling AC voltage. It has a voltage input range of 100 to 240VAC thus enabling it to work in most industries. It has a frequency range of voltage 47 to 63 Hz and has a voltage of 264 VAC maximum. The X20DO2623 has a maximum output current of 1 A per channel with the total output current of 1 A for the module. It is able to manage short term surge currents of 40A for 20ms and 10A for 1s which is useful in case of inrush currents that are common when switching on inductive loads. The module incorporates three-wire connection which means that the wiring is simpler than in many other modules.

The diagnostic and monitoring capabilities of the X20DO2623 includes LED's to show the status of each I/O channel, and the status of the whole module and the module power. This way, one can easily perform a visual check and in case of a problem. The module also contains zero crossing switches, which enable it to minimize any interference caused by electrical noise, and in addition the efficiency of the connected loads since switching only occurs at a point where AC voltage is zero.

In terms of power consumption, the module is drawing 0.35 W from the bus and 0.38 W for external I/O operations. It is approved for the CE and KC standards, which are confident that this product is compliant with the European and Korean safety and EMC requirements. The module has maximum leakage current of 10 mA at 240V and has residual voltage (on state voltage) of 1V. 5V which means that the power loss will be minimal while the circuit operates optimally.
