X20DI9371 is a digital I/O module for B & R Automation X20 systems. It is equipped with 12 digital input channels. Each of the sink type channel has a voltage rating of 24 Volts DC. The module works with for 1-wire connections. There are LED indicators for each I/O channel. In addition, there are LED indicators for module status and its operating state. In addition to LEDs, the module run/error diagnostics can be accessed through software. Power consumed by the I/O module's bus is 0.18 Watts and power drawn by internal I/O on the module is 1.75 Watts. The digital inputs comply with Type 1 specifications in accordance with EN 61131-2. Tolerance for the input voltage is -15% and +20%. The typical input current for each input channel is 3.75 milliamps.

The I/O module supports hardware and software input filters. Delay for the hardware filter is less than 100 microseconds. The software filter delay can be configured to values ranging from 0 to 25 milliseconds, in increments of 0.2 milliseconds. Default value for the software filter delay is 1 millisecond. Value for the typical input resistance is 6.4 kiloohms. The low and high switching thresholds are less than 5 Volts and greater than 15 Volts respectively. The I/O channels are isolated from the module bus but not from each other. Operators must order one terminal block and bus module. The X20DI9371 module is available in an IP20 rated enclosure. It is suited to indoor use. Outdoor use requires installation inside a suitable cabinet. The module supports vertical and horizontal mounting. The ambient temperature for vertical and horizontal mounting are -25 to 50 and -25 to 60 degrees Celsius respectively.
